What We Believe
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative written Word of God. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments were inspired by the Holy Spirit through human authors whom God sovereignly guided, so that every word of Scripture communicates exactly what He intended. As God’s complete and final written revelation, the Scriptures are entirely truthful, without error in the original manuscripts, and fully sufficient for knowing God, understanding His will, and living a life that honors Him.
Because God has spoken through His Word, the Bible is the final authority for faith and life. It stands above every human tradition, personal opinion, cultural philosophy, and religious teaching. Through the illuminating work of the Holy Spirit, believers are able to understand the Scriptures, grow in the knowledge of God, and faithfully live according to His truth. For these reasons, we joyfully submit ourselves to the authority of Scripture, believing that it is God’s trustworthy revelation for every generation.
